1997 - FEBRUARY
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From February 1997.

In February 1997 the girls appeared on The National Lottery [5 good causes], before returning to Germany [Bravo TV & Bravo Super Show], heading to Belgium {Gouden Oog Gala], before returning to the UK to shoot the video for "Who Do You Think You Are" and perform at the West McLaren Team Launch. They then headed to Italy [San Remo], Ireland [IRMA Awards] before returning home to perform at the Brit Awards. 1997 - MARCH
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From March 1997.

In March 1997, the girls began promoting their double A-Side single Mama / Who Do You Think You Are performing on shows such as Noel's House Party, Live & Kicking, The Girlie Show, Comic Relief & more. They also did interviews with Clive James and GMTV. The girls also went to the US to perform on MTV's "The Grind" and to host a separate show as well. After performing in London for Australian Show "Hey Hey It's Saturday", the girls headed to Germany and performed on Wetten Dass before ending the month in Prague. 1997 - APRIL
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From April 1997.

The girls started of April 1997 by doing a book singing of their first official book "Girl Power". They then headed to the US where they held another book singing in New York before performing on Saturday Night Live. The girls then set off for the Far East visiting Taiwan [MTV Showcase], Korea [CTV, Long Hu Show Sunday Sunday Night], Bali [The Vibe] and more. 1997 - MAY
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From May 1997.

The girls began May 1997 by announcing their colaboration with Pepsi. They then performed at A Royal Gala celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Princes Trust. Mid May the flew to Cannes to attend the Cannes Film Festival and announce their upcoming movie. They then headed back to the US where they performed on shows such as The Late Show With David Letterman, Live! With Regis & Kathie Lee, The Rosie O'Donnell Show [Aired in June] before they headed to Mexico to perform on Siempre En Domengo. After Mexico is back to the UK to host Top Of The Pops. 1997 - JUNE
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From June 1997.

In June 1997, the girls headed to Turkey to promote their upcoming shows in Istanbul. The girls also filmed a segment for the 1997 MTV Movie Awards. The rest of the month was spent in the UK filming their movie "Spiceworld" with scenes such as the Poiroit scene, Future Mama's scene, Dress Up scenes and more being filmed. 1997 - JULY - AUGUST
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From July - August 1997.

In July 1997 the girls continued filming "Spiceworld: The Movie" in London with scenes such as the army scene, Royal Albert Hall performance scene, Too Much performance scene and more being filmed. Shows such as Film 97 as well as Fox Kids Australia visited the girls on set. Also in July, the O-Zone aired a 1 hour special dedicated to the girls - Spice Girls: Year One - An O-Zone Special. The girls also filmed their commericals for Walkers Crisps and their second Pepsi commercials. In August, the girls headed to Germany to perform at the VIVA Comet Awards. 1997 - SEPTEMBER
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From September 1997.

The girls headed to the US in September to perform at the MTV VIdeo Music Awards - where they also won the Best Dance Video Awards. While in New York they filmed the video for their Fifth single - and first of their second album - Spice Up Your Life. Returning home the girls were interviewed on GMTV / GMTV LK and shot their commercials for Poloroid and Impulse before heading to the South Of France to rehearse for their upcoming concerts in Istanbul. While in the South Of France, the girls did interviews for The National Lottery, The Box and Live & Kicking, as well as their upcoming Playstation game. 1997 - OCTOBER
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From October 1997.

In October 1997 the girls launched their Polaroid Spice Cam in London, performed on Talking Telephone Numbers and were interviewed on The O-Zone, before heading to Spain to launch their album "Spiceworld". Two concerts in Istanbul, Turkey were next. After that the girls headed to Singapore [Spice Girls Survival Guide], India [The Channel V Awards] and Japan [Music Fair]. After performing on The National Lottery, the girls went to Germany [ Bambi Awards] & France where the girls did 2 interview days for countries including Argentina [Xclusive], Brazil [Domingo Legal], Russia [Karir & Stars] & Australia [60 Minutes]. 1997 - NOVEMBER
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From November 1997.

In November the girls headed to South Africa and met Nelson Mendela and performed at his charity event. They then headed to The Netherlands to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The next day, they sacked their manager Simon Fuller which made headlines around the world, but continued on with their promotion with trips to France {Les Annes Tubes], Spain [The Ondas Awards, Sorpesa Sorpresa], Italy [Fantastico, Domenica In], before doing another press day in Paris for countries including Finland & Denmark. They then did another press day in Rome to promote their movie for countries including Australia [Today Tonight], France, Isreal, Italy, Spain, Sweden The Netherlands & The UK. They then headed back to France [Sous Vos Applaudissements, Nulle Part Ailleurs] Spain [Amigo Awards], Belgium [ Laat De Leeuw] before returning to the UK to host An Audience With The Spice Girls and perform at The Smash Hits Poll WInners Party. 1997 - DECEMBER
A look at the Spice Girls Appearances From December 1997.

The girls started off December by performing at the Royal Variety Performance - and meeting the Queen! Next was a trip back to the US where they performed on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, The Billboard Music Awards and also filmed interviews for MTV. They then headed to Brazil for a quick promo tour before heading to Germany [Wetten Dass, Viva Music Jam]. They then began a week of attending premieres for Spiceworld: The Movie with premieres taking place in London, Paris, Rotterdam, Madrid, Dusseldorf and Brussels. The girls then began promoting their sixth single Too Much with performances on The National Lottery, Live & Kicking, Des OConnor Tonight and more. A Top Of The Pops special aired on Christmas Eve. The girls also did some performances of "Too Much" for France [Noel En Famille and Hit Machine]. The girls ended the year with appearances on New Years specials in Spain [Turryn y Cuenta Nueva] & The US {Dick Clarke's New Years Rockin' Eve].
